Susan Wood
Susan Wood (née McDowell) was born in Commerce on May 31, 1946. She holds a BA from North Texas State Univerity (now The University of North Texas) and a masters from UT-Arlington. She is Gladys Louise Fox professor of English at Rice University.
She is the author of numerous poems, reviews, and essays of scholarly criticism. Her books of poetry include: Bazaar, Campo Santo, and Asunder.
