The ways of supporting this site fall into two broad categories: give and buy. And there is a way that is completely free if you are set up for it: link to my homepage if you have a web page. Please do not link directly to pages behind the adult door unless the page you are linking from is inside an adult-material warning page of your own with appropriate child-protection filters.

For those in the Austin area who want to make in-kind donations, there is a wish list. Much of this is junk that some people have lying around in the garage or attic, and the major problem is that I have no transportation and most days I am too stove up to move ponderous stuff.

There are two other ways to make donations to this site: the Amazon Honor System, and mail.

If you have an Amazon account or are willing to get one, you can make a contribution through the Amazon Honor System. The Amazon Honor System is the only online donation method at present.

If the Amazon Honor System box has your name in it it is because you have an Amazon account and you have an Amazon cookie in the browser you are using. I don't know who you are and my home page doesn't know who you are. Your browser knows who you are and has filled in information from your Amazon cookie. If it doesn't have your name in it, either you don't have an Amazon account or your browser doesn't have the cookie from your Amazon account, but you can still use the Amazon Honor System to make a contribution to my site. Click on the "Pay to Give" icon for more information (you aren't committed to give just by clicking through). In a secure text-browser, click "Support this site!" and then "Click here to give!" There may be a suggested donation, but you can give from $1 to $50 by this method. If you want to give more, you can always come back! The Amazon Honor System gives me no personal information about you, so you get a boiler-plate thank-you e-mail. I'm sorry I cannot send you a personalized thank-you (unless you send me email and tell me who you are), but this system is for your protection.

The second way is simply to mail me cash, check, or money order (payable to Lars Eighner) to:

Your donation doesn't buy you any extra access or anything else tangible or intangible. Every part of all of my sites is free. There are no password protected parts or hidden goodies. In other words, what you see is what you get. None of your donation goes to Patricia C. Wrede or any other person or institution that you may see mentioned on my pages (except for the funds forwarding fees charged by Amazon). It goes to me — or at least it passes through my fingers before going on to my creditors. Contributions to me are not tax deductible.

I make money if you click through one of my banners or forms to buy stuff from Amazon or just about any of the other shops you will see in banners and boxes on my pages. Clicking through from my site does not increase the price of the goods to you.

Depending upon the vendor, I may make slightly more if you click through a text link instead of a banner or box, so it will help if you use my text link if there is one, but I don't put up the general banners or search boxes for my health. If you are buying stuff on the web, please consider clicking through from my pages to make your purchases from the vendors represented on my pages.
