T
- `Times `Ro·man /'taImz
`roUm@n/ noun
- (printing) A
proprietary face commissioned by The Times (London)
who no longer use it. This face has been widely used, imitated, and
adapted and some variation of it is available (often by default) in
virtually all graphic computer interfaces and word processors. It,
licensed updates, or generic look-alikes are still extremely
popular in books and magazines. It is a proportional serif face.
Some graphic browsers may display this sentence
in Times Roman or a similar face.
- `ti·tle `page /'taItl-

- 1 : (MS) The first page of a book manuscript or script,
bearing the author's return address and contact information, the

title page.
- 2 : (book) The corresponding page in the finished book
which may also contain the publisher's imprint and other
